Learning

Project Based Learning is one of the teaching methods we use at Good Shepherd Christian Academy.

Projects are focused on critical thinking/problem solving, communication, collaboration, and self-management.

Students engage in a rigorous, extended process of asking questions, finding resources, and applying information.

Projects feature real-world context, tasks and tools, quality standards, or impact – or speaks to students’ personal concerns, interests, and issues in their lives.

Students:

¨ Use their bodies as instruments while resting and active.

¨ Use their voices as instruments including experimenting with different types of singing, chanting, humming and sound making.

¨ Accrue basic understanding of music note values

¨ Explore music and music theories with diverse percussion instruments

¨ Begin basic understanding of reading music notes in the treble Clef
